A genuine “Peace Silver Dollar”, dated 1923 is surrounded by my handmade chainmaille. Rings of aluminum and rubber are woven so that the rubber holds the coin firmly in place. Black rubber rings are alternated with the aluminum on the front and white rubber rings are used on the other side. The coin is then suspended from a solid copper ring. The ring is attached to a filigree bail.

This pendant can be purchased separately or complete with the chain that I made from aluminum. The chain will not tarnish and the copper ring is coated to retain its original copper sheen. The coin has been cleaned contrary to the desire of coin collectors, however it is not coated and will develop a patina over time.

This coin can be removed and reinserted by pressing with your thumbs but because of the rubber rings it remains firmly in place when worn. The pendant can be worn as is or you can substitute your own coin of the same size. Other dollars, such as the Morgan or the Eisenhower are the same size and may be substituted.
